Learn what local elected officials are doing, and what issues are being discussed and voted on at public hearings.
Help organize Candidate Forums so Tybee voters can ask questions to candidates who are running for local, county, state and national offices to represent you.
Become an Observer and read Observer reports of City Council and all City meetings — written by members for members.
Consider being a board member or serving on a committee. Or, join an issues group to research and come up with solutions.
Attend community events. Get to know our diverse community. Stay informed about what influences Tybee and your neighbors.
Speak at public hearings on an issue that matters to you.
Get to know candidates running for local office. Ask informed questions about their views on issues. OR, apply to join a city committee, or consider running for city council.
VOTE! Approximately 1,300–1,500 people vote in Tybee elections. Every vote counts. Your vote can make the difference for a candidate! That candidate might one day be YOU!
